Electroslag heavy-duty steel has high hardenability and thermal cracking resistance. It contains a high content of carbon and vanadium, has good wear resistance, relatively reduced toughness, good heat resistance, good strength and hardness at high temperatures, high wear resistance toughness, excellent comprehensive mechanical properties, and high tempering stability.
Used for manufacturing forging dies, hot extrusion dies, and precision forging dies with high impact loads; Aluminum, copper, and their alloy die-casting molds.
