20Mn2 alloy structural steel

Characteristics and Scope of Application:
20MnV has better strength, plasticity, toughness, and hardenability than 20Mn2. 20MnV is equivalent to 20CrNi steel and can be used to manufacture boilers, high-pressure vessels, and pipelines.
The strength, plasticity, toughness, and hardenability of 20MnV steel are better than those of 20Mn2 steel. The critical hardenability diameter of the steel in oil is 7-14mm, and its machinability is still good. During carburizing, the tendency for grain growth is small, but there is tempering brittleness during heat treatment. When used as carburizing steel, this steel can be directly quenched after carburizing without the need for secondary quenching to improve the core structure, and can replace 20Cr and 20CrNi steels. 20MnV steel also has certain thermal strength and good weldability.
