【 Main Features 】
During cold deformation, the plasticity is moderate and the machinability is acceptable, but the weldability is poor. Compared with 30Mn2 steel, it has a higher carbon content, higher strength, wear resistance, and hardenability. The critical hardenability diameter in oil is 7.5-20mm, but the plasticity is slightly reduced, and there is a sensitivity to white spots and a tendency towards overheating and tempering brittleness. It is also prone to crack formation during water quenching.
[Application Example]
Generally used in quenched and tempered or normalized states, it can be used as connecting rods, shafts, half shafts, crankshafts, cold heading bolts and other mechanical parts with high stress requirements in heavy and medium-sized machinery manufacturing; In agricultural machinery, it can be used as wear-resistant parts such as hoes and shovel handles; It can be used as a substitute for 40Cr steel when manufacturing small section (diameter<20mm) parts.
