Main components: Cu 57.5-59.5 Pb2.0-2.8 Zn, residual impurities:% Fe ≤ 0.5 Ni - total impurities:% ≤ 1.2
Good hardness and strength, uniform distribution of lead particles, and no warping after long-term use. Widely used
Lead brass: Property: Brass made by adding lead to copper zinc alloy. According to the zinc content, it can be divided into single-phase alpha lead brass and two-phase (alpha+beta) lead brass. Single phase alpha lead brass can only be cold-rolled and hot extruded. Commonly used alloys include 63Cu-34Zn-3Pb, with a soft tensile strength of 350 MPa and an elongation of 45%. It has high strength and good cold working performance, with excellent machinability, mainly used for parts with extremely high machinability requirements on instruments and other mechanical instruments. Two phase (α+β) lead brass can be hot-rolled, hot extruded, and cold processed. A typical alloy is 59Cu-40Zn-1Pb, which exhibits superplasticity in the temperature range of 550-650 ℃, high strength, and excellent cutting performance. The soft tensile strength is 420MPa, and the elongation is 45%. It is an economical and commonly used lead brass.
