After quenching and tempering, it has high hardness and wear resistance, but low thermal hardness, poor hardenability, easy deformation, low plasticity and strength.
Chemical composition:
Carbon C: 0.80-0.90
Silicon Si: 0.10-0.35
Manganese Mn: 0.10-0.50
Sulfur S: ≤ 0.030
Phosphorus P: ≤ 0.030
Chromium Cr: allowable residual content ≤ 0.25, ≤ 0.10 (when manufacturing lead bath quenched steel wire)
Nickel Ni: allowable residual content ≤ 0.20, ≤ 0.12 (when manufacturing lead bath quenched steel wire)
Copper Cu: allowable residual content ≤ 0.30, ≤ 0.20 (when manufacturing lead bath quenched steel wire)
Note: Allow residual content of Cr+Ni+Cu ≤ 0.40 (when manufacturing lead bath quenched steel wire)
Mechanical properties:
Hardness: annealed, ≤ 187HB, indentation diameter ≥ 4.40mm; Quenching, ≥ 62HRC
Typical application examples:
1. Used for mold parts that require high hardness and wear resistance due to sliding abrasion, such as guide pins, bushings, ejector pins, etc.
2. Cutting tools, cold heading dies, scrapers, and files for processing wood.
