XW-42 tough high chromium steel
The characteristics are: high wear resistance, high compressive strength, high surface hardness after quenching, excellent overall hardenability, excellent stability during quenching, and excellent resistance to tempering softening
Main use: It is often recommended for molds that require good wear resistance and appropriate toughness (impact resistance). In addition to being suitable for the XW-5 application range, it can also be commonly used in cutting thick and load-bearing forming molds.
