303 stainless steel is an austenitic, easy to cut, rust resistant, and wear-resistant acid steel. To improve its performance, no more than 0.60% molybdenum can be added to the steel, which is resistant to erosion.

After annealing and stress relief, the mechanical properties of 303 stainless steel show a tensile strength of 515 MPa, a yield strength of 205 MPa, and an elongation of 40%. The standard hardness of stainless steel 303 is HRB 90-100, HRC 20-25, note: HRB100=HRC22.9.
303 is a free cutting stainless steel containing sulfur and selenium respectively, used in applications that mainly require easy cutting and high surface smoothness. 303 stainless steel improves cutting performance and high-temperature bonding resistance. Suitable for automatic lathes, bolts, and nuts.
